दिल्ली पुलिस ने रविवार को CJP के संस्थापक अभिजीत दिपके से जुड़ा एक वीडियो जारी किया. इसके साथ ही पुलिस ने उस आरोप को खारिज किया, जिसमें कहा गया था कि हिरासत के दौरान दिपके को उनकी दादी के निधन की जानकारी नहीं दी गई. पुलिस ने दावा किया कि उन्हें उनकी दादी के निधन की सूचना तुरंत और संवेदनशीलता के साथ दी गई थी.
दिल्ली पुलिस की डीसीपी और पीआरओ ने प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के दौरान यह वीडियो जारी किया. इसमें एक महिला पुलिसकर्मी दिपके को उनकी दादी के निधन की जानकारी देती और घर जाने के लिए बस या फ्लाइट का इंतजाम कराने की पेशकश करती सुनाई दे रही हैं.
Why did you delete the part where I was asking for my phone so I could retrieve my cousin’s number? And where I was asking to let me speak to my lawyers? The same Delhi Police which is now taking the moral high ground for informing me about my grandmother’s demise and offering me a ride home came to me at 3:30 in the morning with arrest papers, demanding that I sign them. Where did all that humanity go at 3:30 AM? Despite knowing that I had just lost my grandmother, they still insisted that I sign the arrest papers. I refused until I was allowed to speak to my lawyers.
