बंगाल की खाड़ी में उठा चक्रवात ‘अर्नब’ तेजी से ताकतवर हो रहा है. यह तूफान 28 अक्टूबर को आंध्र प्रदेश के तट से टकरा सकता है. मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक, इस दौरान हवा की रफ्तार 115 से 125 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे तक पहुंच सकती है, जबकि तेज झोंके 140 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे तक चल सकते हैं. तूफान के खतरे को देखते हुए आंध्र प्रदेश और दक्षिण ओडिशा के तटीय इलाकों के लिए रेड अलर्ट जारी किया गया है.
ओडिशा, आंध्र प्रदेश और तमिलनाडु में प्रशासन की तैयारियों और स्कूल बंद होने से जुड़ी जानकारी की अलग से पुष्टि जरूरी है. 26 अक्टूबर की सुबह 5:30 बजे चक्रवात ‘अर्नब’ बंगाल की खाड़ी के मध्य और पश्चिमी हिस्से के पास था. यह विशाखापत्तनम से करीब 650 किलोमीटर और ओडिशा के गोपालपुर से 610 किलोमीटर दूर था.
और ताकतवर हो सकता है तूफान
मौसम विभाग के अनुसार, चक्रवात ‘अर्नब’ 26 अक्टूबर की आधी रात तक गंभीर चक्रवाती तूफान और 27 अक्टूबर को बेहद गंभीर चक्रवाती तूफान बन सकता है. इसके बाद यह उत्तर-पश्चिम दिशा में आगे बढ़ेगा. अनुमान है कि तूफान 28 अक्टूबर की सुबह बापटला और विशाखापत्तनम के बीच आंध्र प्रदेश और यानम के तट से टकराएगा. इस दौरान तेज हवाएं चल सकती हैं. तटीय इलाकों में प्रशासन राहत और बचाव की तैयारियों पर ध्यान दे रहा है. लोगों को सलाह है कि वे मौसम विभाग की चेतावनियों पर ध्यान दें और स्थानीय प्रशासन के निर्देशों का पालन करें.
मछुआरों को 26 से 29 अक्टूबर तक समुद्र में नहीं जाने की सलाह दी गई है. सरकार ने जानमाल के नुकसान को कम से कम रखने और बिजली जैसी जरूरी सेवाओं को जल्द बहाल करने पर जोर दिया है. गृह मंत्रालय, NDMA और IMD हालात पर लगातार नजर रख रहे हैं. चक्रवात ‘अर्नब’ को देखते हुए प्रशासन ने खासकर तटीय गांवों में रहने वाले लोगों से सतर्क रहने को कहा है. लोगों को समुद्र के पास जाने से बचना चाहिए और प्रशासन की ओर से जारी निर्देशों का पालन करना चाहिए. चक्रवात के दौरान तेज हवा और भारी बारिश से लोगों को परेशानी हो सकती है.
🌀 Tropical Cyclone Arnab rapidly intensifies over the Bay of Bengal Cyclone Arnab is about 600 km east-southeast of Kakinada, India, moving westwards. Maximum sustained winds reach 120 km/h (33 m/s), with gusts up to 150 km/h (42 m/s). Further intensification is expected, with favourable conditions: sea surface temperatures of 29–30 °C, abundant moisture and low vertical wind shear. Arnab will continue westwards before turning northwards near India’s coast. Landfall is expected near Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday morning, 28 October, although the exact timing remains uncertain. The cyclone will then move northwards and gradually weaken over land. Main hazards for India’s east coast, particularly Andhra Pradesh: Strong winds: Sustained winds of 100–120 km/h, gusting to 140 km/h, at landfall. Heavy rain and thunderstorms: Totals of 100–250 mm, locally up to 400 mm, with flash flooding possible. High waves and coastal flooding: Waves up to 5 m, with storm surge potentially raising sea levels by 1–1.5 m above astronomical tide and flooding low-lying coastal areas. ⚠️ Follow official weather warnings.
चक्रवात के खतरे को देखते हुए आंध्र प्रदेश, ओडिशा, तेलंगाना, छत्तीसगढ़ और पुडुचेरी को अलर्ट किया गया है. पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश और बिहार में भी भारी बारिश की आशंका को देखते हुए सतर्क रहने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं. राहत और बचाव के लिए NDRF और SDRF की टीमें तैनात की गई हैं, जबकि अतिरिक्त टीमों को तैयार रहने को कहा गया है. सेना, नौसेना, वायुसेना और तटरक्षक बल की टीमें भी किसी आपात स्थिति से निपटने के लिए तैयार हैं.

आंध्र प्रदेश राज्य आपदा प्रबंधन के मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर प्रखर जैन ने कहा कि अगले तीन दिन बेहद महत्वपूर्ण हैं और लोगों को सतर्क रहने और सुरक्षा सावधानियों का सख्ती से पालन करने का निर्देश दिया गया है. उन्होंने कहा कि चक्रवात बंगाल की खाड़ी में लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है. लोग से अपील है की लापरवाही न बरतें. उन्होंने विशेष रूप से तटीय क्षेत्रों के आस-पास बसे निवासियों को दी हुई गाइडलाइन का पालन करने और आवश्यक सावधानियां बरतने की सलाह भी दी गई है. राज्य सरकार ने सभी जिलों में प्रशासन को अलर्ट पर रखा है. मछुआरों को समुद्र में न जाने की सलाह दी गई है. राहत और बचाव दलों को तैयार रहने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं. लोगों से अपील की गई है कि वे अफवाहों पर ध्यान न दें और केवल आधिकारिक सूचनाओं पर भरोसा करें.

Sri Lanka Weather Alert ‼️ Although the developing Cyclone Arnab 🌀 over the Bay of Bengal is not expected to directly impact Sri Lanka, its associated wind flow to bring increased rainfall in coming days. 🌧️ Heavy rainfall over 100 mm is possible in some areas. ⚠️ Strong winds of 40–50 kmph are also expected at times, particularly over the Central Hills’ western slopes, Northern, North Central, North Western, Trincomalee and Hambantota. 🌩️ The public is advised to take precautions against localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Tamil Nadu rainfall: Rainfall is likely to continue across southern and western Tamil Nadu, particularly Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Pudukkottai, Madurai, Theni, Dindigul and the Western Ghats. Isolated heavy spells are possible. Chennai: Scattered showers are possible today, with moderate rainfall also possible over Chengalpattu and Kancheepuram. Widespread heavy rainfall is not the primary expectation at present. Tuesday, 27 October: The system may move closer to the Andhra Pradesh coast, increasing rainfall potential over coastal Andhra Pradesh. Scattered showers may continue across parts of Tamil Nadu. Wednesday, 28 October: The system may approach the Andhra Pradesh coast, with a possible landfall zone extending broadly from Visakhapatnam to Bapatla Thursday–Friday, 29–30 October: If the system moves inland, rainfall may spread across parts of Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring regions.
